Injured Isaksson Gets The Nod

Manchester City goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson has been included in the Sweden squad to take on Denmark in Euro 2008 qualifying next month - despite carrying an injury.

Isaksson has missed the start of the Premiership season because of a fractured thumb, with youngster Kasper Schmeichel deputizing for former Juventus man.

Elfsborg keeper Johan Wiland and Rami Shaaban have also been included to face the Danish in Stockholm on September 8th.

Sweden currently lie top of Group F with 18 points, two clear of surprise-package Northern Ireland and three clear of Spain.
