Douglas Begins Trial

by Danny Wright

Out-of-favour Leicester City goalkeeper Rab Douglas is to go on trial at Scottish club Motherwell in a bid to resurrect his career.

The 35-year-old has been told he is surplus to requirements at the Midlands club, and has not played for the Foxes since February.

Motherwell manager Mark McGhee requires competition for current first choice Graeme Smith, and will give Douglas until the end of the week to prove his worth at Fir Park.
